The Company

Brookforce Limited was established in 2017 in Belfast, Northern Ireland by Simon Ward. Utilizing his experience and research, Simon saw there was a need to develop a spirit measure that was accurate and fast for trade use. Brookforce worked with the National Measurement Office and the Trading Standards Office to develop a product that tackled these problems. After nearly two years and hundreds of prototypes later, IndiPour was ready to go into production. Brookforce is proud to say that IndiPour is made, assembled, tested and verified in Ireland.  IndiPour is made with the best quality materials and techniques to make it a robust and quality spirit measure. By October 2018, IndiPour was certified for trade use in the United Kingdom for prescribed measures of 25ml and 35ml. 

The Story

On New Years night 2016, Simon went to the bar to order drinks. After ordering a Whiskey, Vodka and Rum, the bartender couldn’t find a thimble measure for the spirits. After a minute he found one and proceeded to measure the drinks, spilling a significant amount on the bar top and using the same thimble measure to dispense all three drinks. When drinking his Vodka and Coke, Simon was dissatisfied with the taste as it was spoiled with the taste of the Rum that was previously in the thimble measure. 

After this experience Simon thought there must be a better way to measure spirits. He conducted a study with bars, stock takers and the general public to see if this was a problem. The study showed that bars were loosing a significant amount of spirits thru over-pouring and spillage. Also from observations Simon saw some bars weren’t cleaning the thimbles between measures and by using them it was slowing down the speed of service.Therefore, Simon took it upon himself to come up with an alternative way to measure spirits.
